1150 NETWARE MANAGEMENT MAP FOR OS/2
This self-paced, workbook-based course covers the NetWare
Management MAP (NMM) utility of NetWare Management Services (NMS).
NMM can be used as a stand-alone program, allowing a designated
user to see a logical view of the entire network.
Following a brief description of the product╒s overall merits,
students are guided through a series of hands-on experiences and
installation instructions.

VII. Introduction to NetWare Services Manager
Audience: NetWare system administrators, network technicians, and
anyone who is responsible for tracking and monitoring the logical
layout, configuration and status of a network.
Prerequisites: NetWare v2.2 or v3.11 System Manager course or
equivalent. Familiarity with the following: hardware basics, DOS
basics, OS/2 basics, networking basics, distributed computing, and
connectivity information such as IPX/SPX and the SHELL.
Required Equipment: The following equipment is needed to work
through the hands-on exercises:
Ñ An OS/2 v1.3 or above workstation, with a minimum of 8MB RAM,
connected to an active NetWare network
Ñ 20MB hard disk space available after OS/2 and the Requester have
been loaded
Ñ Access to the NetWare Management MAP User╒s Guide (comes with
purchase of NMM)
Ñ A copy of NetWare Management MAP
Additional recommendations include:
Ñ 12MB RAM
Ñ 80MB hard disk
Ñ A NetWare v3.11 network with at least three v3.11 servers and
multiple workstations
Ñ Available connectivity to a larger network with many servers,
cable segments, routers and nodes
